Kirstie's Handmade Christmas &
              Kirstie's Home for Christmas

Kirstie’s Handemade Christmas is full of fun and inspiration for a big festive make off.  I learn how to make decorations and gifts and take a fairy tale trip across the Atlantic to New York to make candy canes, shop in the Christmas markets, and meet a local family who take the tradition of festive decoration to the extreme.

In Kirstie's Home for Christmas it's all about the food and drink. I learn how to make a festive spiced cider and a Christmas feast in preparation for a day at a local Christmas fair.  My competitive spirit also returns as I enter a Yule Log cake competition with all the crafty friends I met whilst making Kirstie’s Handmade Britain.  There is present buying, prize giving, and full on Christmas cheer.

Kirstie’s Handmade Britain

I’ve always championed British crafts and their current renaissance is something I’m all for celebrating, but this series isn’t just about making things for your home, it’s about making things good enough to win prizes!  In each programme I master new skills and put them to the test when I enter craft competitions at Britain’s brilliant country shows. But will I be good enough against the other hugely talented crafters who want to win, just as much as I do…

From Ibiza to Iceland, Morroco to the Maldives, each episode is packed with advice for your happy holidays.

Kirstie and Phil's Perfect Christmas

In our Christmas series Phil and I create four different themed events; a magical children’s party, a grown up soiree, Christmas day itself, and a full on New Year’s knees up.  In each programme we sort everything from the decorations and presents to the food and drink.  I even rope Phil into cake decorating… but he gets me back with some rude comments about my homemade perfume. This series is our inspirational guide to throwing parties over the festive season.

Kirstie’s Homemade Home II

After finishing the renovations to my Devon cottage, Meadowgate I decided to turn my attention to helping others transform their homes using craft, second hand, and a bit of imagination.  Each week we make a visit to one of Britain’s vast antique fairs — my perfect day out — and learn new skills to make things that will stand out in your home.

Kirstie's Homemade Christmas

In this series I go in search of the ultimate homemade Christmas giving Meadowgate its first festive makeover in almost 40 years, from the Decorations and Gifts to a Christmas feast fit for a King.  I learn all sorts of skills, making my own hand-blown glass baubles, chocolate treats, stockings and candles. I also pay a visit to my favourite second hand market to bring you brilliant present ideas that wont cost a fortune.

Kirstie's Homemade Home

This is where my journey into the world of Craft really began, when I bought my dilapidated house Meadowgate in North Devon.  It had been lying empty for almost 40 years and I wanted to bring it back to life using the skills of Britain’s incredible army of artisans. I embarked upon a mission to prove that I could reclaim, reuse, and as much as possible have the things I put in the house either made in the UK or made by me.  The series is full of my interiors passions, craft guides and top tips to find second hand bargains that’ll look priceless in your home.

Location Location Location

Phil and I have extensive property backgrounds and for more than a decade we’ve loved using our expertise on Location Location Location. Every show brings a new set of house hunters with their own unique property finding problems for us to unravel.  It’s always a massive challenge finding someone a house that’s right for them.  We’ve met the stubborn husbands and pipe dream wives, friends that don’t see eye to eye, and couples who think we have a secret magic wand to make all their wishes come true.  If only!  But it’s so rewarding when the hard work does pay off and we see happy people in their new, happy homes.

Relocation Relocation

For Phil and I, this show is often the ultimate test of our house-hunting knowledge because it’s not just about finding a new house.  We’re helping people change their lifestyle, normally cemented by two properties that are the ideal balance between the city and the country.  Making it all work is really tough, but we’re always up to the challenge.

To my utter joy, crafts of every shape and size have made their way back into our lives.  Big time!  This book is an inspiring collection of craft guides that are just as great to do for beginners as the more experienced crafters among you.  There are a phenomenal 50 practical projects for you to get your teeth into. You’ll also find familiar faces from the Kirstie’s Handmade Britain series along with guides for the things they taught me.  Go on, have a go, and have as much fun as I do.

Kirstie's Homemade Home

This book was born out of the first series of Kirstie’s Homemade Home and in fact, I wanted it to go much further than the programmes.  I wanted to pin down the tips, hints, and fun bits and put everything you need to know on a permanent page with lovely pictures there to linger on.  I was never the ‘arty’ one at school, far from it, but my experiences are proof that anyone can have a go at craft and feel as chuffed to bits with the results as I did.  Welcome to the world of crafts, once you’ve entered, there’s no going back!

Apps

Kirstie & Phil's House Hunter

We’ve made programmes about it, written books about it, and now we’ve gone one step further and made an app about it.  ‘House Hunter’ is our foolproof guide to buying the home of your dreams and the best of it is you can download it straight to your iPhone. It’s a pocket Pip and Kirstie with you every step of the way, guiding you on everything from searches and viewings to making an offer and of course, closing the deal. It is full of video guides and audio tips and contains detailed chapters on finance, mortgages, dealing with agents and more.

We’ve teamed up with Zoopla to give you an inbuilt property search engine so you can look for houses all over the country, save them, call or email the agents directly from the app. And if you want to work out how much you have to spend on your new home, we've created our very own budget calculator.

This app is a really brilliant tool for anyone about to head out and house hunt. We hope you enjoy watching us in your tiny screen too. Good luck searching!

I like pretty ceramics, bright and colourful pieces that make a statement in my home or about me and for the second year in a row Marks and Spencer are retailing a beautiful Kirstie Allsopp range of gift and home ware items that I’m really proud of.  From a cake stand to a handy measuring tape, an indulgent biscuit jar to a sewing basket and much more.  You can find it in Marks and Spencer stores or online.

Kirstie Allsopp Home Living

Since I was a little girl I loved beautiful bed linens.  There’s nothing in the world like climbing into clean crisp sheets at the end of a long day. In my new Home Living collection I’ve really embraced colour with lots of florals, stripes, and ginghams that have a pretty vintage look with a modern twist.  Everything can be matched with coordinating cushions and throws but it’s flexible enough that you can mix with other things you already have. My Home Living range is available online and in selected retail stores including House of Fraser, Next, B&Q and Debenhams.  Sweet dreams.
